Executive Director | Founder
Joseph Ojuki is a youth and gender advocate with focus on youth, adolescent and young women inclusion in meaningful Engagement in Policy, decision making and Budget engagements. Joseph has cut a niche in family planning, gender mainstreaming, adolescent and youth economic empowerment and adolescents youth sexual reproductive health advocacy and has contributed to the development of policies that affect adolescents and young people in Kisumu County. He has over 7 years’ worth of practical experience in designing, implementing, engaging in, monitoring and documenting youth-centric advocacy initiatives locally and national levels. Joseph also has a wealth of experience in community development work particularly around mobilization, Research, budget-advocacy and planning, climate and environmental matters and media advocacy. Joseph is also a seasoned practitioner in the entire project management cycle – a fete that he has overtime enhanced through his work with community as well as different county governments, particular health ministries of Kisumu County, Homabay county ,Nairobi County, Kakamega County and Busia County among others. Joseph Ojuki holds a bachelor’s degree in environmental science, certificate in project management, certificate in geographical information system. He is also, a senior member of the Kisumu County CSOs’ forum in Kisumu County – an outfit that pushes young peoples’ sexual health matters with the County Government of Kisumu.

Sharon Luga is a dedicated individual with aspiring progressive career in finance. She has diploma in Accounting and certificate in Computerized Accounting with a distinction. She has worked as Accounts Assistant with Delmerc Engineering Services and Amazon Theatric Ensemble. She has a strong background in financial analysis, accounting, and budgeting. Proven ability to provide accurate financial insights, support decision-making, and ensure regulatory compliance. Dedicated to maintaining ethical standards and committed to continuous learning in the ever-evolving finance landscape.
Senior Programs Manager
Tyson is a highly motivated and dedicated Public Health professional with a strong background in Sexual Reproductive Health (SRH) and Gender. Tyson holds a degree in Environmental Health, Certificate in Gender and Health System Strengthening, Certificate in Sexual Reproductive Health and SRHR advocacy. He has extensive experience working as a Sexual Reproductive Health and Gender Officer, focusing on promoting equitable access to SRH services and information, and advocating for gender mainstreaming in health systems. With expertise in policy advocacy, health system strengthening, and gender equality in public health, Tyson excels at developing and executing strategies to address SRH and gender-related challenges. His commitment to improving health outcomes and upholding the rights of individuals sets him apart. He has over 2 years experience in Programs management with expertise in project planning and management, program development, budget management, team coordination and stakeholder engagement.

Am Doris Okeyo a Degree holder of BCOM. I am an aspiring accountant with a strong foundation in financial principles, keen analytical skills, and a commitment to accuracy and integrity.
Human Resource Manager
Collins is a Passionate Sexual Reproductive Health youth advocate, dedicated towards youth empowerment, facilitator on Human sexuality Education (HSE), Sexual Reproductive Health programs and activity.
Monitoring Evaluation and Learning & Accountability
Michael Mando is a dedicated and experienced Epidemiologist and Biostatistician with a strong passion for public health and community development. With over 2 years of expertise in Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E), I have contributed to various health-related projects, employing data-driven approaches to measure impact and ensure program effectiveness. He holds a degree in Epidemiology and Biostatistics from Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology, where he acquired a solid foundation in research methodologies and statistical analysis.
Programs Manager Intergrated Health & Well-Being
Melvin Kenye is a committed gender based violence officer specializing in community development.With a background in social work and a focus on gender issues,Melvin works to create safe environment for individuals affected by violence and discrimination.Also committed in empowering the youths , Adolescent girls and Young women and people living with disabilities, advocating for policy changes that promotes gender and equality , equity and inclusivity ,as well as creation of awareness and development of strategies that address the root causes of gender based violence

My work focuses on creating opportunities for economic growth, fostering self-reliance and self-depence, and uplifting vulnerable populations such as the AGYW. With a strong foundation in social work, I am committed to driving impactful change that supports long-term community resilience.

As the Social Media Manager and Communications Head at HEDSO, Ivon excels in crafting compelling narratives and managing strategic communications. With a background in Digital skills , gender and Dispute Resolution, she brings both creative and practical expertise to her role. HEDSO has significantly impacted ivon's professional growth, enhancing her skills in advocacy, community engagement, and strategic planning. Her work at HEDSO includes supporting impactful and creative campaigns on sexual health, mental health, and gender-based violence, while also mentoring young people and driving awareness through the organisation's innovative programs. Associate Strategic Digital Engagement
Chacha Elton is the Communication Assistant at HEDSO, where he plays a key role in supporting the organization’s mission by capturing and sharing visual stories. His responsibilities include photography, video production, and editing, ensuring that high-quality content is created to engage audiences and showcase the impact of HEDSO’s projects. In addition to his camera work, he manages the posting of content across various platforms, ensuring messages are timely and relevant. His work enables HEDSO to effectively communicate its initiatives, fostering a deeper connection between the organization and the communities it serves.

Carolove Oyola is the Programs Officer Advocacy, Campaign and Strategic Communication at HEDSO, with a BSc in Communications, Public Relations, and Journalism. She plays a key role in advancing the organization’s mission to promote health, education, and sustainable development for underserved communities. Managing HEDSO’s digital platforms, she ensures impactful communication that reflects the organization’s goals. In addition to crafting engaging content, she documents success stories from the field, showcasing the positive outcomes of various projects. Her work is focused on fostering meaningful online engagement and raising awareness on key social issues, collaborating with partners to support community-driven initiatives.

Edrian is a highly dedicated Communications Officer with a strong background in Public relations and Public Health. He has an extensive work experience as a communications Officer having worked with a number of organizations. Additionally, Edrian has videography and photography skills making him to stand out as an able Communications Officer.

Sharon is highly dedicated social worker with a strong background in community health. She holds a diploma in social work and community development from African Institute of Research and Development Studies with experience gained over the last two years .She has proven abilities in field work with strong listening skills, communication skills and team work.

WATER,SANITATION AND HYGIENE OFFICER
Beldina Akoth Tindi is a dedicated Community Health professional leading the WASH department. She holds a Diploma in Community Health Development from Thika School of Medical Studies and has hands-on experience in health interventions and prevention techniques. Before her current role, Beldina completed a three-month attachment at Kmet, contributing to health awareness campaigns, including cervical cancer education. As WASH Manager, she oversees strategic programs to improve access to clean water, sanitation, and hygiene in underserved communities. With strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills, Beldina excels in team management and community engagement. She is committed to creating lasting health impacts and continues to enhance her expertise to drive positive change in public health. Doris Omuga is a dedicated Community Health Officer with a strong passion for livelihood improvement and community development. She specializes in HIV prevention and response, actively working to enhance health outcomes and support sustainable community initiatives. She is a certified HIV/AIDS practitioner, bringing expertise in public health interventions, community engagement, and capacity-building programs.
